LVMH The Prize Semi final spring of 2026The LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers is back — and this year's competition is fiercer than ever. A record 2,400 applicants from around the world threw their hats in the ring, but by the time the semi-finals arrived during Paris Fashion Week, that number had been whittled down to just 20 young fashion houses representing 17 countries. Notable firsts this year: Kenya and Thailand both have designers in contention for the very first time.On March 4, the semi-finalists gathered in the heart of Paris for a cocktail reception and showroom hosted by Delphine Arnault — founder of the LVMH Prize and CEO of Christian Dior Couture. The event drew a high-profile crowd, with Anya Taylor-Joy, Pharrell Williams, Future, and Renee Rapp among those in attendance."Their collections span contemporary elegance, bold designs and even one-of-a-kind pieces," said Arnault ahead of the evening. "Craftsmanship and research into materials lie at the heart of their creations."The stakes are significant. The winner walks away with a €400,000 endowment and a year-long bespoke mentorship with LVMH — one of the most substantial prizes in fashion. Past recipients include Hodakova, Nensi Dojaka, and Soshi Otsuki, all of whom have gone on to considerable recognition in the industry.
